I'm Amanda Conta Steencken,

a musician, neuroanatomist, health coach, and wellness educator dedicated to helping individuals overcome chronic pain, no matter its origin. I utilize effective methods such as primitive reflex integration, circadian health principles, and applied quantum biology tools to harness the body’s natural ability to heal.

Having navigated over three decades of persistent joint pain and discovering remarkable insights about myself and my extraordinary body, I can genuinely affirm that it is indeed possible to fully resolve chronic pain. We don’t have to simply accept it and make do, as we are often led to believe.

Reframing Pain

What if I told you that PAIN should not be feared? Throughout my long and winding journey toward true healing, I have discovered that pain is not something to block, numb, or avoid at all costs. Pain is a language that our body uses to communicate with us. We are granted the honor and gift of learning how to interpret this language to better understand what our bodies are trying to convey.

What messages might our body be sending through pain?

"Ease".

“I love you unconditionally – even if you ignore my signals or attempt to numb me with medication, I will continue to heal and repair, because that’s my purpose.”

“I’m immobilizing you to repair and restore – please allow me to do what I was designed to do. It will be over soon.”

"Pause".

"Slow down".

“I understand this is inconvenient, but if you just pause now, I can work quickly, and you can return to what you need, want, or love.”

"I’m running low on energy resources, so we need to implement energy-saving measures to ensure your basic needs are met. Once you can provide the necessary inputs for proper functioning, we can move beyond survival mode.”

“As I’ve officially entered the “waddle” stage of late pregnancy—for the 5th time—all the pains are with me. My physical therapist told me I have no hope of grace at this point, and that if I can just maintain at my current level of pain (and not get worse), I’m doing great.

She told me my body will never be the same after so many pregnancies, and my muscles are just weak and unbalanced at this point, probably beyond hope of much change between now and the birth. From my physical therapist’s stated point of view, I won’t really be able to move the needle until postpartum.

I met with Amanda, who I’ve known for some time and who is a delightful participant in my Brighter Days, Darker Nights and Quantum Biology Collective communities, and she painted an entirely different picture for me: one in which I would have a more ease-full end of pregnancy, more enjoyable for both me and baby and even described a future in which I might even resolve some of the childhood trauma that led to me wearing glasses(!)

My results: In just one 30 minute session with Amanda (and a couple days of follow-up “work” on my part, and I put work in quotation marks because the 2 recommended movements are so gentle and feel so good I can’t really call them work), I had the most pain-free morning walk I have had in months.”
