What are Primitive Reflexes?
Primitive reflexes are involuntary, rhythmic movement patterns that emerge in infancy.
They’re essential for brain development, helping build the neural pathways that support posture, coordination, emotional regulation, and learning.
In a typical developmental process, these reflexes do their job and then integrate, folding into more mature movement patterns as the brain matures. But when they remain active or re-emerge later in life, they can quietly drive a wide range of challenges:
-
Anxiety, emotional reactivity, and hypersensitivity
-
Chronic pain and persistent muscle tension
-
Focus and attention difficulties (ADD/ADHD patterns)
-
Poor coordination, balance, and motor challenges
-
Depression and emotional overwhelm
-
Learning difficulties and cognitive delays
-
Sleep disruption, hyperactivity, and sensory processing issues
Why do reflexes resurface?
Trauma (physical or emotional, at any age), chronic stress, illness, injury, environmental toxins, and insufficient movement stimulation in early childhood can all cause primitive reflexes to remain active or reactivate.
Rhythmic Movement Training
A sustainable approach to healing.
Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) is a neurodevelopmental method created by Harald Blomberg, MD, grounded in neuroscience and developmental physiology. It uses gentle, rhythmic patterns that replicate the exact movements our brains needed in infancy to mature properly.
By revisiting these foundational movements, RMT helps the nervous system complete what it couldn’t finish the first time, calming overactive reflexes, improving brain-body communication, and building the neurological foundation for emotional resilience, physical coordination, and sustained focus.
RMT has been shown to support individuals experiencing:
-
ADHD, autism, and sensory processing challenges
-
Chronic pain, anxiety, and depression
-
Learning delays and PTSD
-
Neurodegenerative conditions
-
Motor, balance, and coordination difficulties
No drugs. No side effects. Just gentle movements that help your brain and body reconnect.

Who Is RMT For?
Everyone—from infants to the elderly. The movements are gentle enough for the most sensitive nervous systems and powerful enough to create deep, lasting change.
Key Reflexes Addressed
-
Moro Reflex → linked to anxiety, hypersensitivity, and startle response
-
ATNR → affects reading, writing, and cross-body coordination
-
STNR → impacts focus, posture, and sitting tolerance
-
Spinal Galant → linked to hyperactivity, bedwetting, and restlessness
-
TLR → affects balance, spatial awareness, and core stability
-
And many others…
Why Choose RMT Over Conventional Methods?
Conventional approaches often focus on managing symptoms (medication for attention, therapy for anxiety, bracing for posture). RMT takes a different path: it addresses the neurological root by stimulating the brain’s natural developmental processes.
-
Stimulates neuroplasticity, your brain’s ability to rewire and adapt
-
Enhances emotional regulation from the brainstem up
-
Supports natural dopamine production
-
Requires no equipment, medication, or prior experience
-
Can be done from home, at any age, alongside any other treatment
Ready to Experience Rhythmic Movement Training?
Rhythmic Movement Training is woven into everything we do at Horaios Wellness. You don’t need to book it as a separate service, it’s a core part of both our group and private offerings. Choose the path that fits you best:

1
In Our Weekly Group Wellness With Ease Membership ~ $97/month
Every weekly group coaching call includes dedicated time for guided Rhythmic Movement Training. Amanda leads the movements in real time, so no experience is needed, you simply follow along.
You’ll also get coaching on circadian health, Q&A, community support, monthly masterclasses, and a growing resource library.
Best for: Women who want a consistent, supported RMT practice alongside health education and community.
2
In Private 1:1 Coaching ~
Starting at $225
For a deeper, fully personalized experience.
In private sessions, Amanda assesses your specific reflex patterns and tailors the movements to your body’s unique needs. She’ll blend RMT with circadian coaching and nervous system tools based on what will serve you most.
Available as a single Deep Dive session ($225) or the full Healing Partnership 6-session package ($1,500).
Best for: Women with specific patterns they want to address - chronic pain, active reflexes like Moro or ATNR, trauma history, or complex health challenges that benefit from individualized assessment.
